1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information from users:

A. Personal Information

We only collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when using the App. This means we do not collect personal information automatically through your device, location services, or third-party sources.

The types of information you may choose to provide include, but are not limited to:

• Home address and ZIP code
• Household details (e.g., number of people, names, ages, genders, eating habits)
• Property characteristics (e.g., apartment/home, acreage, homeownership)
• Vehicle information (number, type, usage)
• Energy sources and appliance details
• Email addresses of people you invite to the App
• Messages you send through the App, such as support requests and waste audit submissions

If you invite someone to the App, we store the email address you enter so we can credit your invitation when they sign up. Invitations are sent from your own email app — we do not contact the people you invite — and we delete the stored address once that person creates an account.

Household information you provide may include details about other members of your household, such as their age and gender. You provide this as the account holder; household members do not create accounts or use the App themselves.

B. App Usage Data

• Account registration and login details (email and password)
• In-app behavior and progress
• Favorite app features or locations
• Subscription and billing details (managed through Apple or Google)

C. Device Information

• Device type and operating system
• App version
• General diagnostic and performance data

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Provide and improve the functionality of the App
• Personalize product and service recommendations

• With the ADAPT staff or local program ambassadors who receive the messages you send through the App

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations and improve our services. You may delete your account at any time directly in the App (see Section 7).

5. Children’s Privacy

Our App is intended for general use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

• Update your account information through the App
• Delete your account directly in the App
• Opt out of marketing communications (if applicable)
